​​The Organising Committee of ASBTE 2027 invites submissions of abstracts for oral and poster presentations at the 31st Annual Conference, to be held in Sydney from Wednesday 31 March to Friday 2 April 2027.

Theme & Scope

This conference offers a premier forum for scientists, engineers, clinicians, and industry professionals working across biomaterials, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and related fields to exchange cutting-edge research and innovations.

 

We welcome original contributions in the following categories:

​Presentation Modes

Abstracts may be submitted for oral presentation or poster presentation. The Scientific Committee will review submissions and assign the most appropriate format based on quality, relevance, and fit with thematic sessions.

• Submission deadline: Friday 6 November 2026

• Notification of acceptance: Friday 18 December 2026

• Presenter registration deadline: Friday 19 February 2027

• Conference dates: 31 March - 2 April 2027

Abstracts must be submitted electronically.

Submission Guidelines

• Abstracts should address the conference categories

• Abstracts should not exceed  300 words (excluding title, authors, affiliations)

• Abstracts should be structured to include:

  • Background and motivation for the work

  • Methods/approach

  • Key results (including quantitative findings where appropriate)

  • Conclusions and significance

  • The abstract title should be short and descriptive

• Include title, authors, affiliations, background, methods, results, conclusions, and keywords

• A corresponding author must be designated with contact information (email, affiliation)

• At least one author must register for and attend the conference to present the work

• Submitted abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the Scientific Committee
